WR 204 DIRT DEVIL – In 2003 we purchased Dirt Devil from Wichita Ranch in Brenham, Texas.  He was sired by the legendary PBR Bull of the Year Panhandle Slim. He was out of a daughter of PRCA bull of the NFR and legendary sire 55 Gunslinger. Both Gunslinger and Panhandle Slim have passed and these two bulls will go down in herd books as two of the greatest sires in the rodeo cattle industry.

We are confident that Dirt Devil was the right choice to be the foundation herd sire for Blood Line Bucking Stock LLC. His first set of calves were born in 2005 and as you can see below we are more than pleased with the results. With great sadness we reoprt that we lost Dirt Devil. After breaking his left rear leg in several places he was put to rest over the Memorial Day weekend 2006.

He is survived by offspring from the 2005 and 2006 calving seasons, which in essence are the only cattle he will ever produce.

BL 138 HEADLINER - In 2005 we purchased W215 Wrangler Wishes (see donor page) from Guidry Land and Cattle.  At that time she was accompanied by a little black bull calf sired by Guidry's Hopscotch (son of Rafter 7r's Rooster).  She was purchased as a potential donor cow, and there was little concern for the bull calf that accompanied her.  If we had only known!!!

Two years later, that bull calf BL 138 HEADLINER went on to place 11/12 at Jerry Nelson's 2007 (two go-round) ABBI Futurity. Then in April he was crowned the 2007 NBBA Tuff Hedeman Classic Futurity Champion (click link above to see the video of that winning trip)!  He also later went on to place 5th in the Texas Breeders Classic Incentive portion of the 2007 Futurity! 

Following the win at the Tuff Hedeman, Headliner was sold to Wes Bruce (Bruce Bucking Bulls, Aledo, TX).  However, not before he covered the wealth of our females for the 2007 breeding season.  We are looking forward to those 2008 calves!!!  Best of Luck to Wes Bruce in 2007 and beyond!
